As I walk through the halls for some of the last times as a student, I can’t help but look back on all of the great events that have happened here at Barnesville High.  This high school has been very kind to me whether that be helping me decide what I want to do in the future or just helping me make fun memories with my friends. From going to my first high school dance which at the time was a “Big Deal” to being on the Homecoming court, I have grown very close to my classmates. Although my entire high school career has been quite enjoyable, I have to say that my senior year has been the icing on the cake. To start the year off, my classmates and I were able to be a part of one of the best seasons of football that this school has seen in many years. We also were able to witness one of the best games against DGF and to top it off, it happened to be on Homecoming. Then we moved into the winter and we got to cheer on our basketball teams. Of course, I can’t leave out Snoball and all of the great activities that we were able to be a part of in 8th hours. As the year comes to a close, I want to leave the underclassmen with some advice. When you get to your senior year, be sure not to waste it. Cherish everything that takes place–good or bad–as it will only happen once. Be as active as you can, even if that means that you are going to be running everyday and going straight to bed when you get home. Make sure you go to all of the dances even if no one shows up. Don’t be scared to have a good time! And last but not least, make smart decisions. You don’t have to “follow the crowd” if you know that they are doing something wrong—make the right choice. Goodbye, Barnesville High! I will always remember the great times that I have witnessed and shared with a great variety of people.
