While some seniors spend all of their time in sports and with friends, Celeste Marie Cote balances her time out of school between dance, work, and her friends. So far senior year has been going exactly how Cote expected and has been the best year of high school yet. Although she was not fond of junior year, Cote said, “Senior year has been fun and I have created great memories with friends.” Cote plans on attending NDSCS for a year and then transferring to MSUM to obtain a Bachelors Degree. She plans on majoring in early childhood education and minoring in special ed training. To Cote, the biggest advantage of growing up and graduating this school year is the added freedom Cote gets, but as far as disadvantages, she said, “The biggest disadvantage will be not having my mom to cook for me anymore.” If Cote could go back and change one thing about high school, she would have stayed in choir. When Cote was asked to give her own personal advice to the underclassmen, she said, “Don’t care so much about high school drama. It becomes irrelevant later on.” This dedicated senior seems like she is ready to set off into the world, make a change, and make the most of the opportunities life is giving her.
