Whether she is out on the field doing stunts for cheerleading, reading a good book, or doing something artistic, Tori Dawn Buckhouse makes good use of her free time and responsibilities in life. You will often find Buckhouse embracing her creative side doing art projects during school hours and even designing some neat tattoo ideas for friends. So far senior year has been Buckhouse’s best year of high school, which may be because she is so close to graduating. Although she is not fully decided on her plans after high school, Buckhouse said, “I plan to go to either the University of Minnesota in Morris or MSUM for a Biology Major.” If Buckhouse was able to change one thing from her high school experience, she would have joined cheerleading sooner because she found it to be very fun. Buckhouse initially joined cheer to try something new and to put herself out there. Regarding the best advice she could give underclassmen, Buckhouse said, “Take your days as they come. Don’t put everything off because you still ‘have time.’” Many seniors have been debating what they are going to miss about high school, including Buckhouse, who said she is going to miss “the simplicity and structure; certain classes are scheduled at certain times in high school, but in college you have to create your own structure for life, which is a lot of pressure.” Next time you pass this relatively  reserved senior in the hallway, make sure to send a smile her way.
