I had the chance to interview Bryan Strand who is the principal at Barnesville School. He has been a principal at Barnesville for 15 years, and he loves his job. He is the head coach for the Barnesville High School Football team. He has coached football at Barnesville for 14 years, and he loves coaching football. He told me his favorite part about coaching football was interacting with the kids in and outside of school, and teaching them good work ethics. His least favorite part about coaching is losing, which I would say no one likes losing. The football team is 5-0 this year which is pretty good, progressing in the right direction. This week is Homecoming, and the Trojans play the Crookston Pirates on Friday night. I asked how he thinks Friday will turn out, and he said, “We will win,” which I sure hope they will. The football team has a lot of good and talented kids on the team. A few kids have had injuries, but they are getting healthier. He plans on coaching football and being principal until it isn’t fun anymore, and then he said he will want to become a school superintendent. I learned a lot about interviewing Bryan Strand, and I hope the football team wins Friday and the rest of the year.
