The Holiday Lights in Lindenwood Park has been going strong every year for twenty years now. A car may drive on Roger Maris Drive where there are sixty five lights on display. It is open from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm and only cost seven dollars per car. The lights are a great way to show the communities’ spirit for the holidays, but also helps them get their company names out. Senior at Barnesville High School, Jonah LeNoue, has recently been to the lights this year. He has been to the Lindenwood lights twelve times and has fairly enjoyed them. LeNoue said the lights this year were “very nice and put together very well, but there was a couple of displays that were duds. For the most part I thought the lights were pretty good.” There were some ups and downs to the light show. Some of the companies did not try as hard to make the lights as spectacular as they could have been. The Lindenwood Park is also helping the food shelter by reducing the price to six dollars if a driver donates a canned good. LeNoue did not pass up on that offer to help the community and save one dollar. The Lindenwood Lights had some advantages to make the light show amazing. LeNoue said, “It gets people in the holiday spirit, and the lights looks very cool when you are driving on the interstate. It is also very nice to see the community come together.” The lights at Lindenwood Park is a great place to see some bright holiday lights before the holiday season is over.
