Last Friday, January 4th, the Barnesville Trojans hosted a double header against conference component the Frazee Hornets, but it wasn’t the average basketball game. Though there was much anticipation for the Trojans that night, many in the stands were looking forward to the incredible halftime show performed by the F-M Acrobatics team. This has been a highlight for Barnesville in years past, and this year was no exception. This year, one of Barnesville’s finest, seventh grade Ava Foster was on the floor. This seventh grader is truly talented. Ava has been competing in gymnastics since the first grade, and she loves it. Foster stated that her favorite part of gymnastics is “meeting new people.” Many people don’t know how much work and dedication goes into this demanding sport. Foster practices at least four days a week in Fargo. To prepare herself for the season, Foster says, “I try to eat as healthy as I can and stretch often.” Foster plans to continue competing in gymnastics while also still playing volleyball for her hometown, the one and only Barnesville Trojans. Everyone from Barnesville is patiently waiting for the next time we are lucky enough to experience a half-time show as great as the one put on January 4th by these extremely talented athletes.
