Kaliya Roberts
Kaliya Roberts is a senior attending Barnesville High School. You will generally see her with winged eyeliner and a sweatshirt on. The most likely place to find her is in the high school choir room practicing. Although she has not participated in any sports since enrolling in Barnesville, she has participated in many choir activities including Fall Festival, The UND Honor Women’s choir, and Change of Pace. Kaliya uses singing and music to de-stress after a long day has come to an end. She is fond of most genres of music, but dislikes new country songs. Kaliya is an only child, so she maintains the majority of chores around her home. In the summertime, Kaliya enjoys a wide variety of activities including waterskiing, four wheeling, swimming, gardening, painting, and reading outdoors. For the last three years Kaliya has worked at a greenhouse named Daisy Girl Perennials in Erhard over the summer. She enjoys spending time with her friends, and enjoys hosting bonfires and going to the movie theater. Kaliya enjoys cooking in her free time, so she gladly helps her mother prepare dinner every night she is able to. She is a very kind person with a big heart, and will always guarantee loyalty to her friends and family. Honesty is important to her, so she feels deeply betrayed when she has been lied to. Kaliya enjoys her weekends with her best friends shopping in Fargo, binge watching Netflix, or creating a new piece of art to add to her growing collection. Kaliya plans on going to Concordia College next year after she graduates. She plans on majoring in psychology because of her passion for healing others’ pain. The main reason why she wants to become a therapist is so that nobody will have to struggle through their pain alone as she had to. Kaliya also plans on minoring in music because of her passion for singing. She hopes to one day be a musical therapist and help others through their pain with music.
